Dolores A. Powell Dolores Anne Powell, 80, previously of Upper Marlboro, MD, and this past year a resident of Riva Terrace Assisted Living Group in Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Dolores was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Arthur R. Tudge and Anne A. Giles on January 16, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Donald Powell. Dolores graduated from Maryland Park High School in 1950 where she was voted "Best Singer". She shared her love and talent for music and song as a member of her church choir. Other interests included baking and cooking, watching tv, and marveling at the sights and sounds of nature. Dolores retired in 1992 from First Virginia Bank after 30 years employment where her knack for numbers and detail was well utilized. She is survived by her 4 children: Dawn Haddon; Linda Frostbutter; Wendell Powell and Timothy Powell, all of Maryland. She is also survived by 8 grandchidren and 2 great grandchildren . In addition, she leaves behind her brother Arthur Tudge, stepsister Carolyn Follin, and other extended family and friends.
