Dominic Joseph AmendolairDominic Joseph Amendolair, age 90, of Belton, SC and formerly of Clinton, MD died on August 6, 2008 at his residence.Born in Freeland, PA on October 5, 1917, Mr. Amendolair was a son of the late Peter Amendolair and Jennie Galliano Amendolair. He served during World War II veteran in the Pacific Theater with the Army Air Corps. He retired from the military in 1959 from the United States Air Force with over 20 years of service, and continued to serve his country as a NASA Telecommunication Specialist until retiring in 1973. He was a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeants Association.Survivors include his daughters Donna Hansborough of Durham, NC, Darlene Amendolair of Belton, SC and his son Donn J. Amendolair of Prince Frederick, MD, a brother, Anthony Amendolair, sisters, Cecilia Zahay and Rose Petrone, three grandchildren, Michael, Eric and Ginger Hansborough and six great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the LEE FUNERAL HOME CALVERT, 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rte 4 & Fowler Rd) Owings, MD on Saturday, August 9 from 1 to 5 pm and Sunday, August 10th from 12:30 pm until a service at 2:30 pm.
