Millsaps, Sr.Donald RayRet. MSgt. U.S. Air Force“Don” “Sarge” “Pop”Donald was born on July 22, 1930 to Chester and Parilee Millsaps of Arkansas. He passed away on December 4, 2012 at the age of 82. He is the beloved husband of Marian Millsaps; Loving father of Cres, the late Donald, Jr., Mike (Debbie) and Terry; Grandfather of Marian, Robert, Brandie, Donnie, III, Michael, Jr., Daryl, Danny, Candie, David and Ginger; Great grandfather of Tristen, Mikayla, Cody, Cole, Isabelle, Quade, Isla, Jonathon, Shannon, Alex, Steven and Jayden. Brother of Aileen Munch. Mr. Millsaps served in the United States Air Force During both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. He was a member of the National American Indian Enrollment Agency and the Maryland Indian Heritage Society. Donald was instrumental in organizing and participating in Pow-wows and making traditional Native American Crafts. He owned and operated Millsaps Trading Post. His passions included fishing and hunting. He raised and trained beagles. When he was younger he was a boxing coach and took part in rodeos as a bull rider.Friends will be received on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD from5:00 pm unitl time of service at7:00 pm. Inurnment with military honors will take place at Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery in Cheltenham on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
