Doris Merritt Waldecker\n \n \n \nWent home to be with her Lord on July 11, 2010 after a short bout with cancer. Doris resided in Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD; formerly in Camp Springs, MD. Born on Dec 1, 1924 to Jane (Ivie) and Don Merritt. She retired from Acacla Life Ins. Co and was the first female employee of AFLAC. She is survived by her husband of 51 yrs. William B. Waldecker, her daughter Donna J Hasker, son John (Kay) Stackhouse, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12 Noon in First Baptist Church of Camp Springs, 6936 Allentown Rd. Exit Beltway on Rt. 5 to Branch Ave. West on Allentown Rd (Rt. 337) to church. Known as the church under the water tower. Interment will be private.
