Doris F. Wylie

Doris Frances Pfeifer-Wylie, born August 22, 1934, in Washington, DC, passed away peacefully at her home in Chesapeake Beach, MD, on December 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Brown Pfeifer and Frank E. Pfeifer, Sr.; her brothers, Frank E. Pfeifer, Jr. (Beverley), Donald E. Pfeifer, Sr. (Bonnie), and George Pfeifer (Carol); her husband, John Wylie; nephew Frank Pfeifer and her niece(daughter), Julie Lynne Bradfield.

Doris is survived by her loving daughter, Melody Taquino; her cherished grandchildren, Alissa Bradfield Green, Aaron Bradfield, Gavin Taquino, and Mason Taquino. She was an amazingly kind and loving Mother, Grandmother(nanny), Aunt and all around amazing person.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736. Interment will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Robert S. Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623, on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:30 AM, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
