On December 15, 2022, Dorothy Lee Suit-Birch left her earthly home of Winter Garden, Florida to be reunited with her love, Richard Joseph Birch in Heaven. Dottie had previously lived in Upper Marlboro and the Chesapeake Beach neighborhood, Breezy Point. She graduated from Frederick Sasscer High School and Strayer Business College. In Dottie’s career life, she worked for Giant Food until her first retirement. After retiring from Giant, she went back to college and then accepted a position at Lockheed Martin. It was retiring from Lockheed Martin that allowed her much more time to enjoy herself. She became very active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chesapeake Beach American Legion and was an avid bowler at the Lord Calvert Bowling League. Throughout all of Dottie’s lifetime, her family meant the most to her. She began her journey of love on Friday, August 6, 1937 in Washington DC when she was born to her parents, Francis Lee Suit and Evelyn Christine Sasscer Suit. Before her parents passing, she was blessed with her loving son, Kevin Lee Hall. Later, her love grew further to include her step daughters, Terry Jones, Tammy McGhee, and Tracey Morris. In the later part of her life, Dottie took on a new title that she cherished, Grandmother. She adored her three grandchildren, Caleb and Jake Jones and Allie McGhee. Through her lifetime she both gave and received all the love that one human can handle.
