Annapolis – Dorothy E. Butler Oettle of Heritage Harbor died, peacefully, at home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Born in Kennerdell, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Nellie Kern. She was also the last surviving sibling of nine brothers/sisters. Dorothy was raised in Washington, D.C. and married Henry G. Butler, Sr. in 1943. They raised nine children in Temple Hills, MD. In 1984, they moved to Prospect Bay and became involved with their local community. In April, 1990, they became members of the Immanuel United Methodist Church. In 1996, five years after Henry Butler’s passing, Dorothy married Harry B. Oettle of Chester, MD. They were both involved members of Kent Island United Methodist Church. Upon Mr. Oettle’s passing, Mrs. Butler Oettle returned to Heritage Harbor in Annapolis, MD to be near her offspring. Mrs. Butler Oettle is survived by nine children: Dr. Henry G.
