Dorothy Strine Dorothy Marie "Dot" Strine, 84, a resident of Suitland, Md., for 15 years and formerly of Deale for 53 years, died of lung cancer Oct. 31 at the home of her daughter, Karen Lynne Senior of Deale. Mrs. Strine was born May 17, 1923, in Washington, D.C., where she attended high school.She was a homemaker whose interests included writing poetry, crocheting, collecting dolls, bells and butterflies.In 1939, she married John Addison Strine, who died in 1992. She was the mother of the late John Addison Strine, who died in 1994. In addition to one daughter, surviving are four sons, James Allen Strine of Suitland, Charles Elliott Strine of New Jersey, Wayne Frances Strine of White Plains, Md., and Robert Eugene Strine of Washington, D.C.; two other daughters, Marie Annette White of Minneola, Fla., and Jeanette Louise Huckleby of Deale; one sister, Lois Peters of Greenville, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
