Dorothy Logan Williams, 70, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland passed away on April 11, 2009 after a long illness. She died in Riverdale, Maryland surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy Jane Logan was born on September 7, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island to Christine Turner and Paul Logan. "Dot" and her siblings Olive, Paul, and Stuart grew up in various neighborhoods in Providence. Later she was adopted by Edna and Wilfred Applegate. Dot attended Hope High School and remained in Providence until she married the love of her life, Claud Williams of Inkster, Michigan. His military assignments took them around the world to many locations including Maine, Texas, California, England, Germany and Spain. After a long military career they settled in Maryland, enjoying retirement in 2004. Dorothy will forever be remembered by her husband of 49 years, Claud; daughter Tracy of Austin, Texas; son Tony (Michelle) of Arlington, Virginia; and sister Anne Watts (Theodore Sr.) of Newport News, Virginia.
