Dorothy Lee Wilson

Dorothy Lee Wilson, 87, passed away July 12, 2024 at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crownsville, Md. Born on August 14, 1936 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late William E. Conover and Frances E. (Jarrell) Conover. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur B. Wilson and daughters, Cindy Wilson, Deborah S. (Wilson) White and grandson Woodrow W. White (Bing). Dorothy is survived by her son Dale (Stacy) Wilson, brother Leon (Jean) Conover, sister Betty (Tom) Owens, granddaughters Lauren (White) Grucela, Tracy White and great grandchildren Matthew, Camdyn and Rhett. 

Dorothy (Dot) was a wife, mother and homemaker for the first part of her life and then at the age of 54 she started working at a childcare facility in Calvert County, Md where she took loving care of the infants and toddlers for 14 years. 

She loved family get togethers. Some of her favorite things were being near the water, enjoying a seafood meal, shopping and watching professional football, especially her hometown team the Washington Commanders. 

She will be greatly missed by family and friends
