Douglas James Jillson

Doug Jillson age 63, of Owings, Maryland passed away Friday February 12, 2010 at the Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC. He is the loving husband of 40 years to Mary Ann Jillson and loving father of Ryan Jillson and Dustin Jillson. Brother of Theresa Jillson and the late Priscilla Peake. Pops to Hanna Jillson and Uncle Doug to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by other family and friends.\n \nDoug lived in Owings over 21 years and was employed as an Inspection Engineer for the AFG Group, Inc. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, kayaking and bicycling with Hanna. He also enjoyed tropical fish, ponds, was an avid animal lover an just liked being outdoors. Doug was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in North Beach, Maryland and also served a tour of duty in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborn in 1970. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 18, 2010, 6 pm at St. Anthony's Church, 8820 Chesapeake Ave, North Beach, MD with Father David Russel officiating. Burial at a later date will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice preferably one supporting animals.
