Earl Clauder Muse

Earl Clauder Muse, the oldest child of the late Leon and Ethel Clary Muse, was born on November 16, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.\nAfter high school, Earl enlisted in the military, first in the Marine Corps and then the Army. During his 11 years of military service, he was stationed throughout the United States and across the world and served his country in Vietnam.\nWhile stationed at Fort Dix, he met Dolores Martin in New York City, whom he married on April 4, 1964. From this union two children, Patricia Muse and Pamela Muse Turner, were born. Upon an honorable discharge from the Army, Earl was employed as a computer specialist for the United States Government at the Census Bureau and then at the Department of Commerce until his retirement in 1995. He was a devoted family man and worked hard to provide opportunities for his children. He was a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church for over 30 years. He dutifully served his church as a member of the Knights of Columbus and an usher for many years. Earl was a skillful card player and an avid gardener.\nEarl departed this life on May 1, 2012 in Clinton, Maryland. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Dolores Martin Muse; two daughters, Patricia M. Muse, Pamela Muse Turner (James) of Durham, North Carolina; three adoring grandchildren, Tyler Muse, Lauryn and Joshua Turner; two sisters, Millicent Muse of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ruth Muse of Oviedo, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
