Eddye Jean Morris of Clinton, MD went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2018 at the age of 80. Born in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Edward Lightford and Sallie Davis Lightford. Jean grew up in Washington, DC where she attended and graduated from the Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Class of 1955. After graduation, Jean attended Howard University and Atlantic Business Colleges. Shortly after college, Jean went to work for the U.S. Naval Research Lab in the Information Technology (IT) field where she worked for 36 years before her retirement in 1993. Jean married Luster G. Morris on July 11, 1981. They celebrated 36 years of marriage this past July. A second marriage for both, they also inherited each other’s children as their own. Jean was a crossword puzzle aficionados. An enthusiast for fun facts and her mastery of trivia enticed Jean to play any types of games that challenged the mind. Jean loved music playing and composing her own version on the piano and organ. She was a remarkable woman with a big heart, and infectious smile and energy, and she made lasting impressions and friendships wherever she went. She loved sports and was a devoted Redskin and Wizards fan. Beloved wife of Luster G. Morris; loving mother of Donald I. Morris (Linda) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Harry E. Morris (Lucretia) of Bowie, MD, Jacqueline M. Morales of Dallas, TX, Andrea Womack-Searcy (David) of Cleveland, OH and the late Jacqueline Glover; cherished sister of Jerome Lightford of Washington, DC; dearest grandmother of Steven Price, Danielle Anderson, Michael Anderson, Doniece Morris, Donica Morris, Mekhi Morris, Zion Morris, Tanesha Caldwell-Dyson, Anthony E. Morris, Monica Morales, Andrea A. Searcy and Andrew D. Searcy; great-grandmother of Roman Anderson, Christien Caldwell, Brooklyn Dyson, Aaly’Ana Morris and Jada Morris. Aunt of devoted nieces Tracey Anderson (Craig), Lauryn Anderson, Camryn Anderson, Leslie Anderson (David), Kendall Anderson, Alex Anderson, and Christian Anderson.
