Edith Barrett Cordery

Edith “Edie” Cordery 88, of Bowie, Maryland passed away January 7, 2022. She was born on February 9, 1933 in Maple Shade, NJ to James and Isabel Madden of Belmar, NJ. Edith was married to Joseph C. Cordery her late husband for 53 years until his passing. Edith is survived by her son Joseph J. Cordery and his wife Renee of Solomon’s Maryland. Edith and Joseph moved from Williamstown, NJ to Bowie, MD in Sept 1976. They were Bowie residence for 36 years. Edith was a housewife and enjoyed both the Bowie Women’s Club and the Bowie Women’s golf club. Her favorite place to play was the Eisenhower golf course. She moved to Collington Retirement Community in Feb 2012 until her death. There will be a memorial service at the Locustwood Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ in the Spring.
