Edward P. Collins, "Phil",Col..USN (Ret.)On August 29, 2002 of Temple Hills, MD. Beloved husband of Amelia Edwards- Collins; son of the late Ruth and Clifford Collins; loving father of Edward P. Collins, Jr. and Dean Collins;step-father of Deborah Kirkwood, Christine Aragon and the late Ronald L. Edwards, Jr.;grandfather of Angela Kirkwood, Bradley Mount and Christopher Collins; brother of Paul F. Collins, Thhomas McGeary, Marie Deignan and the late M. Kennedy and Clifford Collins, Jr.; father-in-law of Ted Kirkwood and Willliam Aragon; many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Collins was born in Boston , MA on April 30, 1930. At a young age, he moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he was a graduate of Villanova University. He attended LaSalle Military Academy and Flight School in Pensecola, Fl. Mr. Collins joined the U.S. Navy in 1954 and retired in June 1980. After retirement,, he was a consultant to Pratt and Whitney and Delphi Corporation.
