Edward Philip Hill

January 13, 1935 – November 2, 2022

Edward Philip Hill, 87, of Clinton, Maryland passed away on November 2, 2022.  Edward was born in Washington DC on January 13, 1935, to the late Oswald and Mary Loretta (Ehrmantraut) Hill.  He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Jo (Butcher) Hill , children Paula (Bob), Sharon, Philip, David (Tammie), 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and his sister Barbara Ann Rogers.

Edward graduated from St. John’s College High School, class of 1952.  He had a lifelong career as a master electrician specializing in HVAC services. Edward enjoyed family, friends, and sports, especially his Washington Redskins. In his youth he played football for the local DC chapter of the Boys Club.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he pitched in their men’s slow pitch softball league.  Edward coached youth football for the Catholic Youth Organization.  He also enjoyed hunting and antique cars.  His family and friends will remember him for his spirited sense of humor.

Visitation, followed by a service, will be held Tuesday, November 8, 10:00AM-1:00PM, at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD 20735. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in a private ceremony for his immediate family.
