Elizabeth "Betty" Agnes Vicino

April 11, 1947 — January 29, 2023

On January 29, 2023, Elizabeth A. Vicino, “Betty”, peacefully passed away. She was born on April 11 in Sandy Springs, MD to Donald and Margaret Rabbitt. She graduated from Perry High School in 1965 and continued her education at Strayer Business School. After graduation in 1967, she began her lifelong career as a Technical Information Specialist with the Office of Naval Intelligence.  In 1969, she met the love of her life, Lawrence Dominic Vicino. After courting for one year, they married in St. Gabriel Church in Washington, D.C. Their love blossomed into three children, Matthew, Anthony, and Jason. She loved being a wife but adored her role as mother. She took joy in gardening and being a soccer mom to her boys in her limited spare time. She was also a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in North Beach. Her life became much fuller when the grandchildren started arriving. Her latest pleasure was becoming a Great Grandmother. Betty loved to host holiday and summer pool parties for her family. She will be sorely missed. Betty’s legacy will live on with her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Vicino; sons, Matthew Lawrence Vicino, and his wife, Suzette of Red Lion, PA, Anthony Philip Vicino of Greensboro, NC, and Jason Eric Vicino, and his wife April of Port Republic, MD; grandchildren, Mikahla Rae Vicino, M. Daniel Guzman, Calvin Lucas Vicino, Nicolas Owen Vicino, Kaylan Read, and Raymond Read; Great Grandchildren, Allie Shirley and Ruth Guzman; and sister of Donald Arthur Rabbitt, Barbara Joan Buttrey, and Ralph Grant Rabbitt.

Betty’s family will receive friends on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1-4pm at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Ave, North Beach, MD 20714. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Avenue Silver Spring, MD 20906.
