Elizabeth Garner Settle

Elizabeth G. Settle,”Betty,” 84, of Lothian, MD died July 13, 2013 at Bay Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Annapolis, MD. Mrs. Settle was born November 6, 1928 in Upper Marlboro, MD, the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth and Charles Louis Garner of Upper Marlboro, MD. She retired as a Customer Service Representative/Personnel Department from Montgomery Wards in Iverson Mall in Temple Hills, MD. She enjoyed being around family, loved flowers, yard work, going to church on Sunday and family dinners. She was a very strong person who fought until the very end and never gave up on anything. Mrs. Settle is preceded in death by her husband Carlton B. Settle; son Michael C. Settle; grandson Bailey Settle and several other family members and friends. She is survived by her two children, son Stephen M. Settle of Flagler Beach, FL and daughter Carla Elizabeth Kimble of Lothian, MD; two sisters, Rosetta McCollum and Margaret Richards; grandchildren, Sandra Biggs, Carlton C. Kimble, Christopher A. Kimble, Sr., Elizabeth Carla Kimble, Lauren Settle and Hampton Settle; great grandchildren, Keyoshia Fynan, Tonianna Biggs, Vincent Biggs, Steven Vanness, Adreanna Vanness, Ashley Kimble, Brittney Kimble, Makayla Kimble, Christopher A. Kimble, Jr., Karaleigh Kimble, Nicholas Kimble and Angela Kimble. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd. Clinton, MD on Thursday, July 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Clinton, MD Friday, July 19 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, MD.
