Elsie M. Mothershead

Elsie Mothershead, age 94, of Morningside, Maryland died on March 26, 2019. She was born in King George, Virginia and resided in Morningside for 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Judson F. Montgomery and the late Ollie Batlin. She was also predeceased by her husband, Vernon A. Mothershead, her brothers-Judson, Roger, John, her sister, Alice and her great-great granddaughter, Ayriona Marie. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Wines (husband Louis), Mary Knight and son James Mothershead (wife Susan). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Elsie worked in the Civil Engineering Department at Andrews Air Force Base for 36 years, before retiring in 1988. She loved her job there and was well respected by her superiors and co-workers for her dedication and accomplishments during her career. Elsie's greatest dedication and accomplishments were done for her family. She loved her family with all her heart and being. She was always there for everyone and would tell you the truth, whether you wanted to hear it or not. She always had a positive response for anything that was negative. She was everyone's "Constant" and caretaker. She made everyone feel special. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
