Elsie Delberta Taylor

March 24, 1935 — August 20, 2020

God received an Angel, August 20th, 2020 in her own home with Family in Upper Marlboro MD. If you listen, you can still hear her singing......... Elsie Delberta Taylor- A Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Cousin and Friend, she was a blessing to everyone whose life she touched. Born in NY City, NY_but moved to the District of Columbia to continue her education. She first pursued her interest in Zoology working in the lab at St Elizabeth's Hospital, until she contracted a rare disease that would invariably affect the course of her life. No longer able to be around animals she then decided on a career in Public Health. She attained her MSW from John's Hopkins University and concentrated on the pursuit of improving the Nation's Health through working in several government agencies eventually ending up at the National Institute on Alcohol, Abuse and Alcoholism as a Senior Scientific Review Administrator. Elsie was able to sustain a successful life and lived it to it’s fullest extent as God saw fit! Loved by all and admired by many, we know that she is in a greater place and we will see her again. "Her pain is gone Her stay was short But memories of her will last forever!" The Memorial Service for Elsie D Taylor, will take place on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 at 7:00PM. This will be a ZOOM ONLY forum that can be accessed from St. Paul's Moravian Church website: http://spmoravian.org/ If you wish to send flowers please send to family residence as the church will not be open to the public. On behalf of the family, we are humbled and so very grateful for all of the prayers and the wonderful out pouring of love from everyone who knew her. Thank You.
