Eugene Ray Flores, Sr. “Sam,” 79, of Clinton, MD, passed away on March 3, 2013 from Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia. He was born March 24, 1933 in Black Creek, NC, the son of the late Larry and the late Florence Flores. Sam served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for PEPCO for 36 years. Sam enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Eugene Ray Flores, Jr. of Bryans Road, MD, Angela Mori of Waldorf, MD, Michelle Flores of Frederick, MD, Kimberly (Chuck) Hall of Mechanicsville, MD and Marla Shorb of Accokeek, MD; grandchildren, Anthony Mori, Melinda Mori, Ashley Hall, Joshua Sproesser, Paulie Sproesser and Sami Hall and sisters, Mamie Tauber, Mary Tedder and Jean Conner. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd. Clinton, MD on Thursday, March 21 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery Cheltenham, MD. Those selected to be pallbearers include, Eugene Ray Flores, Jr., Anthony Mori, Joshua Sproesser, Paulie Sproesser, Chuck Hall and Donnie Brooks.
