Eugenia Pauline Evans

Eugenia Pauline Evans was born December 30, 1929 in Bessemer, Alabama. She passed from this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the age of 85. Eugenia attended Dunbar High School in Bessemer, Alabama where she met her husband Donald Evans. Donald was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War and they married in 1952 in New York after he completed his basic training on furlough. After relocating to New York she gained employment at Finesse Watchband, later Bulova Watch Company and then Continental Airlines. She now lives in heaven with her husband Donald Evans Sr., parents Pearl and Arthur Wyatt along with brothers Arthur, William, Leon, Haywood, Richard and Lorenzo Wyatt, her two sisters Georgia Little and Hazel Smith, her daughter Dawn Evans-Williams and her grandson Donald Andre Evans. She is survived by two siblings Arnold Wyatt and Gwendolyn Freels and her children Donald Evans Jr., Donna Yvette Gordon and Dionne Faye McCoy and daughter-in-law Nerma Badar Evans.She was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. While her life ended she left a continuing legacy of love and devotion to all that knew and loved her as her family did.Family has requested memorial contributions to Still I Rise, a organization that helps women survivors of domestic violence, 9015 Woodyard Road #204, 205 Clinton, Maryland 20715 and please mention Eugenias' name on your contribution.
