Forrest Marshall Elliott Jr.

Forrest M. Elliott, Jr. 83, of Temple Hills, MD passed on March 6, 2017. Beloved husband of Janet L. Elliott of 61 years; dear father of John C. Elliott (Betty); grandfather of Kathleen & Abigail Elliott; brother of Wayne Elliott (Alice Anne) and Uncle of Shanen Elliott(Colleen). He is also survived by many other family members. Mr. Elliott started his education at Orr Elementary School, then Randle Highlands Elementary, from there he moved on to Kramer Middle School and Anacostia High. Selected to be "Who's Who" Forrest received a major in English and minor French with high honors from The University of The District of Columbia, formerly Wilson Teachers College. Recognizing the importance for our children, Mr. Elliott became an English teacher at Sousa Jr. High school in Washington D.C. before completing his Masters in Reading from the George Washington University. Two years after marrying, Mr. Elliott was drafted into The USArmy. After he returned he moved to MD where he later enjoyed collecting insulators. His love for collecting took him all over the country traveling to conventions as a member of The National Insulators & Chesapeake Bay Insulators Club. Mr. Elliott's Funeral Service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Camp Springs, where he served as an usher and a deacon.
