Frances Hasbrouck BroomfieldOctober 7, 1932- October 9, 2008 Frances Broomfield, age 76, of Prince Frederick, MD passed on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Born in Colorado Springs, CO on October 7, 1932, Mrs. Broomfield was a daughter of the late George H. Krause and Mary Kelly Krause. Survivors include her daughter Lynne Krause and her two children, Ben Krause and Tim Krause. Frances attended the Colorado College and the University of Colorado. She worked as a contract researcher with Ceta-research which took her to Mexico, Canada, and the Galapagos. She had a deep love and respect for nature. She had a special interest in whales and also volunteered with the Fish organization. Funeral services were held at the Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rte 4 & Fowler Rd) Owings, MD on Sunday, October 12, 2008.
