Beloved husband of Grace Cockrell; loving father of Phillip Cockrell and his wife, Mary. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Phyllis Hayden, Michael Cockrell and Timothy Cockrell; four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander and Danielle Hayden and Jenna Marie Cockrell.
