Francis Xavier Zak

Francis Xavier Zak, 77, of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on December 26, 2022, after a four-year battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

Francis was born July 2, 1945, in Mahopac, NY to the late Charles and Helen Zak. He worked as an electrical engineer in the Air Force, and served 20 years, retiring in 1988. He then worked in private industry for another 12 years, becoming the President and CEO of Adroit Systems, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jeanette (Scardino) Zak, three sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date in April, and he will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forestville Pregnancy Center.

Francis was loved by many whose lives he touched and will be missed by family, friends, and former coworkers.
