Fred Richard Boswell Sr.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, the world lost a wonderful, caring man who was loved deeply by his family. Fredrick R. Boswell, Sr. was born on June 9, 1952. He grew up in Clinton, attending and graduated from Surrattsville High School, Class of 1970. In the summer of 1972, Fred attended a wedding, met Rosemarie and was immediately smitten. They married on May 17, 1973 and had just celebrated 45 years of marriage. Fred possessed a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was most important – the simplicity of living a life with those you love. There was nothing in life that he wouldn’t trade for a night with his family. Fred always worked as a stock clerk for various grocery stores over the years. Fred was a diehard Cowboys fan who always enjoyed the games with a cold Budweiser in his hand. He enjoyed soaking up the sun at a favorite beach, relaxing next to the water. Fred also enjoyed going the casino, playing the card games. But above all else, he was happiest when he was eating out with his family. His favorite dishes were lobster, steamed crabs and shrimp.
