Gary Whitmore, Sr.

Gary Wayne Whitmore, Sr. age 78 of Southern, MD died February 05, 2025, at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. He was the son of Raymond Washington Whitmore, Sr and Mildred Clark Whitmore of Hopewell VA.

Gary was a Veteran of three branches of service, The United States Army, Navy, and Airforce with an honorable discharge as Sgt. He spent some of his dedicated service  stationed in Germany. After his distinguished service he worked as a Pipefitter and Asbestos Remover for the DOD, at the Washington Navy Yard in D.C.

He loved to fish and go camping. He also loved his beloved pets. They were by his side up to the end keeping him company. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joe Ann Whitmore, his children Gary Whitmore, Jr. and Lanayah Annette Whitmore, brothers Raymond Washington Whitmore, Jr., &  Melton Eugene Whitmore, his sister Nancy Carol Baker (Whitmore) and a host of other relatives and friends.
