Geneva Kathleen Dickenson Nutwell Our beautiful and loving mom passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord on September 13, 2012. A genuine West Virginia coal miner’s daughter, she was a deeply devoted wife to her husband Neil for 61 years until his passing in 2010, and a wonderful, doting mother to their sons, Barry and Scott. She is also survived by Barry’s wife and step son, Dee and David; her sister Juanita; half siblings Ronald, Jerolene and Richard; numerous nieces and nephews; and her four-legged “grandson” Buddy, the boxer. Born February 22, 1928, she graduated from Franklin High School in 1947 and moved to Washington, D.C. where she met and married her handsome, guy-next-door, Neil Ashby Nutwell in 1948. She worked for the National Capital Bank when they purchased their only home in 1955. She later chose to pursue her one true labor of love as a full-time mother and homemaker in 1965, raising her boys and nurturing many more. She had enjoyed an energetic retirement since 1991, attending exercise classes, bargain-shopping, doting on Neil, cooking, cleaning, tending to her garden and making life-long friends of everyone she met. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Lee Funeral Home, Inc. Clinton, MD from 6 to 8 p.m. with eulogies at 7 p.m. Interment ceremony will take place promptly at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Route 301, Cheltenham, MD.
