Genoa Million, 85, of Clinton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital. She was born in Pisgah, Kentucky on May 12, 1930 to the late James Million and Addie Sparks Nunnelly. Genoa is survived by her daughters, Julia Godbey and Lisa Godbey and foster daughter, Bethany Simms. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Mark (Butch) and Kevin Godbey, Genoa spent most of her career working for the Federal Government and retired from the Peace Corps in 1985. She spent many years after her retirement providing child care for many children who grew up in her home. She loved life and people and dedicated herself to helping others. She loved nature, the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, She committed her life to her children who she loved beyond measure. She was a selfless person who set examples everyone should live by. She will be greatly missed by the many family and friends whose lives she touched.
