George Wesley Roe

GEORGE W. ROE\n(1945-2010)\nOf Temple, Hills, MD on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Southern Maryland Hospital. A graduate of Western High School and D.C. Teachers College, he also received an M.A. in Adult Education from the old Federal City College. A federal employee for 37 years, he worked for the National Security Agency, the Federal Protective Service, and the Smithsonian Institution. \n He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janith M. Roe; a daughter, Tanya, and son Erich, all of Temple Hills, MD; a brother, Dr. Donald Roe, and his wife Tangela, of Fort Washington, MD; a sister, Glenda “Tracee” Roe, of New York City; and numerous relatives in Oklahoma and Texas. \nThe family will greet relatives and friends from 1:30pm - 2:30pm on Saturday, December 18, at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, MD to celebrate the life of the self-proclaimed “Oklahoma Kid.” \n The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations in his name to the United Negro College Fund To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of George Wesley Roe please visit our Sympathy Store.
