George Williams Jr. formally of Ft. Washington, Maryland passed away on April 11, 2020. George was the beloved husband of Willella Williams for 48 years. George was born on June 2, 1935 in Mississippi to his loving parents George and Clara Williams. George spent many of his earlier years serving in the US Army. He fought in several wars ranging from Germany, to Korea, and is even a Vietnam Veteran. Upon his retirement from the Army he earned the rank of a CW3. After his years in the service he went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University. George later spent his career days working for the Department of Energy as the Director of Human Resources, where he later retired from in 1995 after 20 years. George also was known for his infamous BBQ, if you ask around they will say it was “unmatched” along with is cooking skills in general. George is survived by his wife Willella, his son George Williams III,one grandson David Williams, three sisters; Josephine Harbey-Brogue, Arie Williams, Georgia Pettis, one brother Bennie Williams, special nieces and nephews; Edgar Brady, Jacqulin Webb, and C. Brokhalter.
