Gerald "Bud" Miller Wittenauer Sr.

Gerald M.“Bud” Wittenauer, Sr., 93, of Ft. Washington, MD passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born to Lilly Etta (nee Miller) and Clifford Wittenauer in Graymont, IL. Survived by his loving children Gerald “Jerry”, Jr. (Ann) Wittenauer and Mary Lee Maker; and adoring grandson Daniel Maker. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ann; his parents; and his brother Glenn Wittenauer. Bud enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, and working at the business he owned for 58 years, Allen Business Machines, with his wife and children. He was devoted to his family. Bud met the love of his life while deployed at the Patuxent Naval Air Station during WWII, where he was a mechanical repairman for typewriters, posting and adding machines. Betty Ann worked there as a contractor in the supply office where she ordered the parts Bud needed. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church in California, MD or St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Upper Marlboro, MD.
