Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Henry Cook

Gerald “Jerry” Henry Cook, 65, of Lothian, MD, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015. Beloved husband of Nola (Mikolajczak) Cook. Dear step-father of Ramon Valdez of Annapolis, MD. Loving father of Crista Smith, Jeremy Cook and his wife Lisa Cook, Jeffery Cook, and Crystal McMullen all of New York. Cherished grandfather of Paige Cook, Kyle Cook, Brianna Cook, Savanna McMullen, Dante McMullen, Miklala McMullen, and Anthony Coleman. Also survived by his sister, Deborah Allen and her husband Doug Allen of Lothian, MD. Jerry was honorably discharged from the US Army where he served in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal for serving during the Vietnam era in addition to a Presidential Unit Citation. This citation was awarded to those units who participated in humanitarian assistance in Vietnam. Jerry was truly nautical in nature and loved the beach and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed occasionally playing keno, and was very lucky at it. His memory will continue to bring joy to his family and friends.
