Geraldine Lenora Ford

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Geraldine L. Ford, age 83 of Temple Hills, MD passed away suddenly at the
Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. Her parents, Winfield A. Livingston and Eunice A.
(Brown) Livingston of Washington D. C. preceded her in death. Geraldine attended the District of
Columbia public schools and graduated in the class of 1957 from Joel Elias Spingarn High School. She
was employed by the Federal Government and retired from the Department of State in Washington,
D. C. She enjoyed watching the news, mystery thrillers, and books by John Grisham. In addition,
Geraldine traveled to the east and west side of the Caribbean, and had traveled abroad to Morocco,
Germany, France, and Spain. If you rode by a Seven Eleven, a suggestion to get a cup of coffee was
absolute. Her primary passion was her devotion and steadfast belief in the Jehovah Witness
teachings. Geraldine L. Ford was an active member of her congregation and completed many hours
of field service.
She is survived by her beloved family: husband, Melvin D. Ford of Temple Hills, MD; daughters, Renee
M. Ford-Thomas (Dewayne) and Donna L. Ford of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren Colin D. Ford of Church Hill,
Tennessee, John M. Ford of Waldorf, MD; and great granddaughter Nora A. Ford of Church Hill,
Tennessee; brother Winfield A. (Cecelia) Livingston. A sister-in-law Verona E. (Lloyd) Stalling; and
brother-in-law Kenneth (Ruby) Ford, and Carol Ford of Washington, D.C. She has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends and shared a fondness for Sarah and Aniyah. Memorial Services will be held at the
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses located on 6000 Kirby Road, Clinton, MD 20735. The Viewing
commences at 10:00 a.m. and the Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. A Comfort Meal will be
provided for the family. There will be no interment.

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses is handling the Zoom presentation of the funeral services.
