Brandywine

Glenn Anthony Williams, 67, of Brandywine, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Glenn was born on December 26, 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia, to the late Lewis and Mary Williams. Glenn was a caring brother to 6 siblings. Glenn graduated from Groveton High School, a former Fairfax County Public School. His physical abilities were expressed through football and basketball. Glenn would then attend Hampton University and become the first of his siblings to earn a college degree. The childhood hobby of flying pigeons led him to become an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Pigeon Club. He was also an avid gardener who planted lots of his favorite vegetables. In 1990 he married the love of his life, (nee) Deborah Washington. Glenn loved his wife’s homemade macaroni and cheese and sweet potato pie. He loved spending time with family and going to family gatherings. He cherished being a loving father to his daughter Deidre Patrice Williams. Glenn's expression of affection and caring for others was often demonstrated through his work as a Mental Health Technician for the Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland.

Glenn joins in heaven his father Lewis Q Williams, his mother Mary Williams, his sister Gail Morrisseau, and his nephew Marcus Williams.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Deborah Williams, daughter Deidre Williams, siblings, Joan Sheppard, Michael Williams (Earline), Karen Colbert, Lewis Williams (Tammie), and Vickie Walker, nieces and nephews, Keisha, Wren, Nikki, Catherine, Stephanie, Jessica, Juinell, Kristen, and Jabari, and his dear friend Aundra Harris, fellow member of the Washington Metropolitan area Pigeon Club.
