Glyndell Elliott Burton 70, was born June 5, 1949 in the Newland section of Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late Clarence A. Burton, Sr and Virginia E. (Riddick) Burton. He departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2020 with his loving companion of 27 years, Chere' Shorter, at his side in their home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Glyndell or "Bill" as we liked to call him, graduated from Dieruff High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1968. When he graduated he went to work for Mack Trucks as a Machinist. After Mack Trucks relocated to South Carolina, he worked several positions, specifically at the Negro Cultural Center until his retirement and moving to Maryland in 1997. Burton of Laurel, MD, Xavier Isley (Maria) of Hampton, Virginia, Nathaniel Trout of Allentown, PA; DAUGHTERS: Glendale Khan (Shezlon) of Snellville, GA, Rachel Kocher (Ken) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kimberly and Ashley Trout of Allentown, PA; BROTHERS: Richard P. Burton Sr, Clifford K. Burton, Gerald A. Burton, Dexter A. Burton and Kelvin K. Burton; SISTERS: Virginia E. Burton and Pearlie A. Hardy; and a host of grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Glyndell was preceded in death by siblings: Roger B. Riddick, Clarence A. Burton, Jr, Victor V. Burton, Sr, and Beverly W. Burton-Culzac. --
