Gordon "Flash" Miller

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, after a long period of suffering from dementia, Gordon passed peacefully with his wife of 64 years, Aileen, at his side.

Gordon was born in Washington DC on December 27, 1937. He worked in the banking and accounting business to provide for his family. He also worked part time at Rosecroft Racetrack for over 20 years. After retirement, he and Aileen enjoyed hanging out with friends at the American Legion post 248 in Temple Hills and Texas Ribs in Clinton.

Gordon and Aileen Carpenter were married on October 3, 1959. They were blessed with 2 sons, Jeffery Todd Miller and Rodney Mark Miller.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Aileen, his sons Jeffery Todd with his wife Michelle, Rodney Mark with his wife Tonia, his four grandchildren: Jacob, Amber, Kyle and Kimberly and his eight great-grand children: Jaxon, Lucy, Nora, Lyla, Gabriel, Cohen, James, and Cole, and his sister Joan Harrison. He is preceded in death by his sister, Fern Shutts.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Lee Funeral Home, Inc., 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton, MD, on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1-3pm with memorial services beginning at 3pm. 

Interment will be held at Maryland Vererans Cemetery 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:15 am.
