Grace Yvonne Price

Grace Lowe Price\nOn April 17, 2012. Grace was born on March 2, 1948 to the late Willie and Daisy Hawkins Lowe of Enfield, NC.\nGrace attended the Hardy and Eastman Elementary Schools and graduated 1966 from Eastman High School. She matriculated to the North Carolina Central University where she graduated in 1970 with a BS degree in English. After graduating Grace relocated to Washington DC where she met and married Garland D. Price on June 17, 1972 and to this union one daughter was born Tiffany DeWayna Price.\nFor more than 35 years Grace had several managerial positions with the District of Columbia government. The last 19 years of her career were served as the Administrative Officer for the DC Office of the Inspector General where she retired as a stellar employee in December 2011. Then later returned to work as a re-employed annuitant until she departed this earth.\nCherishing Grace's beautiful memory are her husband of 39 years Garland; her beautiful daughter Tiffany Price (Carlos) of Severn, MD; five sisters Velma L. Williams (Herbert) of Winnabow, NC, Willema L. Hardy of Alexandria, VA, Doris L. Arrington (William) of Stafford, VA, Carol L. Pickett of Suitland, MD, Rita L. Reese (William) of Fort Washington, MD, Dale L. Richardson of Enfield , NC; one brother Ellis McKinley Lowe (Leona) of Brandywine,MD; mother -in-law Elizabeth Price of Beckley,WV, four sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law. Grace also had a host of other relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Lowe, Jr. of Enfield, NC and a sister Alma L. Soloman of Brooklyn, NY.\nA ceremony to Celebrate Grace's life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Lee Funeral Home, Inc, Coventry Way and Branch Ave., Clinton, MD. Meet and greet with family members from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A memorial Service will immediately follow. A private interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Monday, April 30, 2012.\nIn lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in Grace's name to the Life Raft Group, GIST Research at http://www.lifeaftergroup.org/.
