Grace Lee Schlosser

Grace Lee Schlosser, 88, of Accokeek, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Born on May 13, 1936, she was the third child of Lee Moore and Marian Moore (Webster). After graduating high school, Grace worked for the telephone company before dedicating herself to raising her two children as a stay-at-home mother.

Grace was a difference-maker and a woman of deep faith. She spent hours in prayer, advocating for change through letters and supporting causes close to her heart through charity. Her life was defined by God, love, kindness, and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Marian Moore, daughter Colleen Spadafore, and siblings John "Jack" Goldstone and Mary Hendrixson.

She is survived by her husband, John G. Schlosser; her daughter, Heidi Filter (Carl); her granddaughters, Gina (Drew) Wegand and Kelsea Filter (Philip Forsyth); Sister Margaret "Marty" Corcoran; four great-grandchildren Gracelyn, Nolan, AJ, and Ashton; and many nieces and nephews.

All who knew her will deeply miss her warmth, compassion, and love.

A service to celebrate Grace's life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Piscataway (Our Lady's Chapel) on March 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to a charity close to your heart in her honor.
