Gregory Alan Kitchen

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Alan Kitchen, age 59, of Winter Park, Florida. Greg was born December 15, 1960 in Baltimore Maryland and grew up in Upper Marlboro, MD. Greg graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in June 1978. Greg began an Operating Engineers Apprenticeship program in August of 1979 and completed as an Operating Engineer with Local 77 in August of 1983. Greg also received his scuba diving certification in 1991 through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Greg enjoyed watching NASCAR and M.A.S.H re‐runs, playing online solitaire, reading Stephen King Novels and playing video games. Greg enjoyed any and all time spent with family. Greg began his career with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) October 3rd, 1988 as a heavy equipment mechanic and retired after 28 years. Greg is survived by his daughter Jennifer Cosme (Edwin), grandson Ian Howery, brother Keith Kitchen, sister Brenda Brown and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Stefanie Kitchen. Greg will be forever loved and sadly missed by all his family and friends. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where a Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
