Harold John Hook, IIIHarold John Hook, III, 44,of Owings, MD. passed away on August 27, 2005 from colon cancer. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; their children, Sarah, Rebecca and Cheyenne Hook, and Chelsie and Michael Salvagni; his mother, Miriam Smith Hook; sisters, Miriam Riner, Cathy Hook, and Christy Bennett; brothers, Andy and Charlie Hook, and 11 nieces and nephews. Mr. Hook was born January 9, 1961 in Fairborn, Ohio. His family moved to District Heights, MD. in 1963. After graduating from Suitland Senior High School in 1979 he began his life-long career as an electrician, proudly earning and receiving his Master Electrician's License in 1989. He enjoyed the highest regard and respect from his professional peers.In addition to electrical work, Harold was skilled in all the building trades and has many construction projests to his credit. We, His family and friends, thank him for the creative genius, the boundless engery, and countless hours that he devoted to the improvement of both our homes and our lives.He is predeceased by his father and grandfather from the same insideous disease. All fought valiantly in their battles against cancer, but none moreso that Harold, whose strenght and courage have become an inspiration to us all. It is his expressed desire that we protect ourselves and our children through early detection and treatment, and that we all do what we can to promote the research that will ultimately find the cure.Other than flowers, donations may be made to Calvert Hospice or the food pantry of Chesapeake Church, Huntingtown, MD.
