Harold Clyde Spence, Sr.

Harold Clyde Spence Sr., born May 11, 1945 passed away on September 16, 2024 at his residence in Dunkirk MD, surrounded by family. 

Harold was originally from Sevierville, TN and moved to District Heights, MD with his wife Wilma Sue Spence in the 1960s. Harold was the proud owner of Spences Tree Service for many years. He loved to golf, fish, and crab and the Washington redskins. The big jokester really loved to make people laugh. He was someone that anyone could count on, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He was very hardworking and nothing could slow him down. He lived his life unapologetically and always being himself. 

He is survived by his wife Wilma Sue Spence, his Daughter Teresa Spence, his granddaughters Megan Spence, Leanna Spence and Felicia Tome, his brother Larry Spence and daughter-in-law Theresa Spence. He was predeceased by his son Harold Clyde Spence JR., also known as Hal. 

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 10155 Ward Road, Dunkirk, MD 20754.
