Helen Michelle “Shelly” Rodante, 54, died on November 28, 2015. She was born on December 29, 1960, in Washington, D.C., along with her twin brother, the late Henry Michael. A natural athlete, Shelly was a star at both volleyball and softball. She was a creative force as an accomplished actress and stand-up comedienne, known for her sense of humor. Shelly also was talented in the visual arts in many mediums. She is remembered as the “best grammy in the whole wide world” and “Wonderful Aunt Shelly.” Her favorite saying to her loved ones was “I love you a bushel and a peck.” Shelly is survived by parents Jeannette Monk Chilton and Francis R. Chilton, daughters Jillian Lynn and Nicki Bailey, granddaughter Illiana Brewer, brother Buddy Chilton, nephew Bradley Fielder, niece Kelly Fielder, and grandniece Makaylah Fielder. Family will receive friends at Fellowship Baptist Church, 8011 Rosaryville Road, Upper Marlboro, MD on Saturday, December 5, with a viewing from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. with services following.
