Helen Rita Toman (Nee Lamanna), age 81 of Forestville, MD, died suddenly on August 27, 2014. Beloved wife of David Matthew Toman; Loving mother of Michael David Toman (Vicki) of Gaithersburg, MD, Debra Ann Carignan (John) of LaPlata, MD, Paul Thomas Toman (Mary) of LaPlata, MD, Anna Marie Navarro (Juan) of Centerville, VA and Vincent Anthony Toman (Susan) of New Market, MD. She is survived by a sister, Genena Hood of Waldorf, MD. Helen had 20 Grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Courtney, Kristen, Justin, Matthew, Cady, Traci, Krista, Cari, Nicki, Gary (deceased), Jonathan (deceased), Rebecca, Erinn, Mark, Danielle, Beverly, Rebecca and Holly and 15 Great-Grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Aiden, Avery, Daylie, Aubrey, Nathan, Ryder, Morgan, Shelby, Braden, Peyton, Zoey, Caleb and Violet and many nieces and nephews.Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary. She was married to her wonderful husband for 64 years. Helen was a devout Catholic and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit for more than 50 years. She was a Redskins fan and loved crabs and beer. She hosted many memorable family functions in the home she lived in for 52 years. Helen taught her family the true meaning of marriage and the devotion to spouse and family.Family will receive friends at the Lee Funeral Home, Inc. Branch Ave and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD on Tuesday Sept. 2, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1717 Ritchie Rd., Forestville, MD 20747 on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.For those desiring, contributions in memory may be directed to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
