Helga Renate Soto

Helga Renate Soto, 82, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on July 4, 2024 in Deale, Maryland after a six-month battle with lung cancer. She was born on September 15, 1941 in Frankfurt am Main Germany to Wilhelm Karl Schultheiss and Johanna Margarete Schultheiss.

Helga led a remarkable life filled with her passions and accomplishments. She was full of life, vibrant and youthful. She was known for her sense of humor, love for animals, love for traveling, and a strong work ethic. She loved to cook and was friendly to everyone she met and was deeply respected by her peers.

Helga is survived by her beloved daughter, Simone Sascha Roman, beloved granddaughter Petranella Moria Phillips (Stan Kelly Phillips, Jr., husband), beloved grandson Jordan Lucas Kuderna, great-granddaughter Naomi Rae Phillips, great-grandson Stan Kelly Phillips III. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Inge Steinmiller, Brian Steinmiller, nephew (Shelly Steinmiller, wife), Michele Steinmiller, niece, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great- grandnephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.

A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Helga Renate Soto will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home at 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. The family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to the Hackerman-Patz House at LHAAMC in memory of Helga Renate Soto.
