On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Henry Hamner entered into his eternal rest at INOVA- Alexandria Hospital, in Alexandria Virginia. Henry was born, raised and attended schools in Washington D.C. Henry was a Master Home-Improvement Carpenter for over 40 years within the DMV up until his retirement in 2014. Henry took a great deal of pride of his skillset with carpentry. He was attentive to constantly improving his own home and was a perfectionist. For those who knew Henry, they knew him as a great, devoted friend and he had the type of personality that people were drawn to him. He will be dearly missed. Henry was baptized at From the Heart Church Ministries in Suitland Maryland, June 22, 2013. Henry is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 30 years, Mrs. Antoinette (Tonie) R. Marshall-Hamner and their four (4) children: Henry Kaleb, Nikesha Antoinette (Sug), Tameatrice Yolonda (Mitch) and Miteshia KeShawania. Additionally, he is survived by five (5) Grandchildren: Mar’Quez Joseph, Micaiah William, Timiyah Camille, Shania Aaliyah and Serenity Elise. He is also survived by one (1) sister Bernice H. Matthews and two (2) brother’s Ernest (Sonny) Hamner and Ronald Hamner; Mother-in-law: Mrs. Ethel C. Marshall and Father-in-law: Mr. Herman Matthews Marshall Jr.:Five (5) Sister-in-laws: LaVerne Brown, Cheryl P. Harrison, Brena M. Marshall, Rose Marie Green, Charlene G. Hamner and Toni T. Hamner; Seven (7) Brother-in-laws: Elton T. Brown, Everett D. Green, Michael A. Marshall, Herman M. Matthews Marshall III, Patrick D. Marshall, John Larry Thomas and Michael Matthews. Henry leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime friends, neighbors and his K-9 “King” aka Mr. Dinks. Henry is preceded in death by his loving parents: Mrs. Bessie Wiseman Hamner and Mr. Walter Hamner Jr. and his two (2) loving brother’s Walter (Snook) Hamner, III and Robert A. Hamner.
