Herbert Edward McKenzie

Herbert E. "Mac" McKenzie, Jr. age 70 of St. Leonard, Maryland passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores E. McKenzie, three children, Vicky Stallings and her husband Bobby, Deborah Carter, Edward McKenzie and his wife Tracey. Born in Calvert County, he is the son of Edith Mae McKenzie and the late Herbert Edward McKenzie, Sr. Grandfather of Lacy, Michelle and Joe Stallings, Jennifer Carter (fiance, Michael Consalvo), Gene, Ben and Megan McKenzie. Brother of Thomas McKenzie, Shirley Nowottnick and the late Betty McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie served in the US Navy with over 20 years of service retiring in 1975. He particularly enjoyed his tours of duty in Hawaii and the Philippines. Upon retirement he went to work for Prince George\\'s County for the District Court and soon started work for the State Judicial Court in Annapolis, where he retired in 2001. He enjoyed his family, yard work, playing cards, and talking with friends. His biggest enjoyment for the last seven years has been having his Boston Terrier, Buddy, and his loving wife by his side. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Lee Funeral Home Calvert, P.A.
