Hilda Mae Curtin, age 88, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Calvert County Nursing Center with her family by her side. Married in 1950, she was the wife of the late Thomas L. Curtin who passed away November 10, 2004. She is the loving mother of Carol Wells and her husband Mark, Cynthia Nash and her husband Kevin. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Bryan and Dana Nash, Larry, his wife Aimee and Tommy Wells, two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zachary Wells. Mrs. Curtin was born 1925 in Front Royal, Virginia to the late Marcus and Grace Johns Sutphin. She moved to Washington, DC where she worked for the U.S. Coast Guard and met Mr. Curtin. She lived in Upper Marlboro over 30 years, moved to Lothian and Edgewater, Maryland. For years she managed Wayson’s Restaurant in Wayson's Corner and in her off time enjoyed reading. But the most important thing in her life was taking care of her family and being there for them.
