Hilda M. Shatrowsky

Prince Frederick, MD — Hilda M. (Pope) Shatrowsky passed from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, August 23rd, 2019, at Calvert Hospital. Hilda was born in 1929 in Luzerne, PA. She graduated from Luzerne High School in 1947. She married George W. Shatrowsky, moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the federal government until her retirement. Hilda loved spending time with her family and volunteering at her church as a member of the Ladies of Charity. She was preceded in death by her parents William H. Pope and Mary L.(Podmenik) Pope, brother William, her husband George and great-grandson Andrew . She is survived by her sisters Mary Lou Armstrong, Jean Putnam, sons George (Darlene), David (Mary Beth), Joseph (Debra), Robert (Carol), and Mark, grandchildren Erin (Amit), Joseph (Amy), William, Scott (Jennifer), Christine, and Eric, six great-grandchildren, and many beloved others in her extended family.
